McGuire Bamboo Base Table with Glass Top
Mcguire furniture has been widely acclaimed and collected since it's inception in 1948. As many MCM furniture designs were gaining popularity in the United States, McGuire introduced an unconventional idea: traditional armchairs, stools and tables made of natural materials such as bamboo.
This table is quintessentially McGuire and so beautiful. Bamboo hexagon table base with heavy round glass top. The base features bundled bamboo poles, lashed together with McGuire's signature rawhide laces. The legs are joined by horizontal, bundled bamboo stretchers. Glass top is 1/4" thick and beveled. Would be beautiful as a breakfast table.
Base: Very, very good vintage condition - very small signs of wear. 33" diameter x 28.5" tall.
Glass top: Vintage condition - visible surface scratching and three small chips on edge of glass. 44" diameter x 1/4" thick.
Both pieces very heavy.
