Meito China, Made in Japan Bowls and Plates
Glorious set of 10 lunch plates and 10 small bowls by Meito Japan. Markings on back state: Fine ivory China, hand painted in Occupied Japan, dating this set to the late 1950’s. Japan was occupied during the Second World War from 1945 to 1951. The colour combination of this set is just delicious. Off white with gold and a deep maroon. The ornate pattern is called Mandarian. These would be so stunning for special occasions and would be perfect for the holidays as they feel festive.
